Ahh, here we go. A link to a Civ2 PBEM that's still going on, I think. Apparently sometime in Feb. 2005 I was a courtesan to CivFan. This is quite a surprise to me because I don't remember that personally but you can't rule that sort of thing out these days.
Although I'm pretty sure I was never actually paid, so how that makes me a courtesan I'm not sure. Later on in that thread I try to wean them off of the old inefficient cash-based economic system and wean them onto this nifty economic incentive system.
But then I realized if I was his courtesan and then demanded payment according to that system, it would just get a bit... circular.

I obviously haven't thought this through much. I'll be back later, hopefully with some more insights.
