Dreums are on the rear wheels, discs are in front...

But I am really surprised you have drums in the back....I'm not saying hes wrong, but I doubt it.

Holy ****, I just realized that I typed "break" instead of "brake".

      The shame.

I have 4 wheel disc brakes...I can see the discs...

When I called him the second time he didn't mention drums at all, he may've just misspoke.

If you have 4-wheel disk brakes then you do not have brake drums anywhere on the car, AFAIK.

That only means that the disc warped in some manner. You can feel that at any speed. This usually happens with poor quality discs that get really hot (mountain driving i.e. ) and suddenly you hit water and the disc cools too fast.

Of course I am....No wonder why I call them the stealership.

NAPA or Carquest is where you wanna buy your brakes. They are as good, if not better than OEM. I never EVER go to a dealer ship, they will rob you blind.

To do your brake job you can go anywhere you want, its the easiest **** to do and you cant really mess it up. And the job is garanteed anywhere, why go to the stealership if its not an engine problem?

I went to the dealership because there were two recalls they had to do and I just wanted the oil change (which was only $30 anyway) and to get the tires swapped.

But this is too much. Never again.

Yes, my point is simply that it's an indication that they aren't trying to make him pay to replace perfectly good brakes. There is some problem with his brakes. Whether fixing it requires something as radical as replacing everything or not, and whether they're overcharging him or not I couldn't say.

Please note that I'm well aware of how much more you know about cars than I do, by the way. I'm just trying to relate to him my experiences as an ignorant automotive consumer.

For you, Midas is a good option, just tell them that you dont care for the vehicule inspection though but tell them you want to change the pads. If the discs need changing they will tell you, thats how you will know for sure.

The last non-dealership place I took my car to was Active Green + Ross: http://www.activegreenross.com/

They seemed like very classy, personable people and did a great job with my car when I was there before. Do you know about them, Spec?

                          Huh?

I was just informing you of why the brake pedal jumps like that. That is all.

Nope, never heard of them. But when you look at franchised places, its never about the place and all about the employees. I saw a GMS muffler shops with retards working there when most other GMS I seen had real professional employees.
