Voters don't matter at this point. Superdelegates know what's up. Final tally will probably have (among pledged) Obama up by ~150 (barring #3). This means that overall they have to go 475 to 325 for the person who lost in the primaries/caucuses.

That might prove a bit difficult to explain to voters.

Yes. Though probably not that exact language.

edit: also, if she goes all the way to the convention, she probably has a better chance of concessions out of the party leaders (e.g. majority leader in the Senate) by bowing out then.

ok, so please indulge a stupid question because I've asked hubby and he doesn't seem to be able to answer it where I can understand it. Can you win the nomination if you don't win the "vote"? Or do you have to win the super delegates? What I guess I'm asking is does our vote count or is it left in the end to the superdelegates?

I have never really grasp this part of the political process.
