Face it, "your" girl was looking for a 30yo virgin duck. You should feel relieved that she passed on you.

Am I wrong in thinking the implication of all the time they were hanging together implied that not all the pickles in the barrel were kosher?

While I don't feel that she's the type to cheat (but Hell, what do I know), there definitely was something wrong with it... of course bringing it up meant I was overjealous and overparanoid (or as I like to refer to it now as "being right").

Further reason why lovely Vivian shouldn't be Imran's unpaid shrink regarding "commitment issues."
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Imran, I'm impressed with you. You've made your first steps into a world full of suspician, deciet and revelation of awful, foul truth that is politicly incorrect even to doubt in the least.

...and no I'm not talking about Polycast.

Once he communicates with her on any basis he will be impressed with her forthright honesty and integrity, inner joy and warmth and want to go and see what's up. Give her a chance to be herself.

Yes I met her on her vacation. She's now a ruined hooker in Japan who when drinking tells a sad story of how her broken life and equally broken heart belongs only to a long lost fellow elementary school student from a foriegn land who wooed her with magic words and whose losing sent her life on a downward spiral which has not yet seen it's bottom. Sooo romantic!

They worked together. Relationships between co-workers is sometimes a little weird in the US, even though most relationships start at work.

It's the "It's Complicated" option on Facebook .

We weren't out and out dating, but it was more than just merely friends (or even merely friends with benefits). Many people who met us thought we were a couple.

Like I said, the "It's Complicated" option .

And yes, Dan is right on the work thing. It gets a bit hairy to admit to a relationship when you work with the person in the office. There was also a bit of risk averseness (I was totally prickish leading to us first being broken up) which led her to not wanting to be hurt again.
