Does "tagged" mean "sued" or merely "informed the of the claim?"

There's a statute of limitation to file the suit, and many insurance firms will just twiddle their thumbs until your time of file suit has passed. If you haven't already, talk to a lawyer -- quick!

Yes sir, tagged is an old police term I use to use years back, by "tag" I mean attached and yes, have a lawyer who put a Lein on this company, once I am either healed (wont ever be) or have reached MMI (Maximum Medical Improvememenr) then settle..I have MMI on Spine and now have the wrist fusion surgery and then post surgery recovery, followed by Occupational Therapy and then given a rating, which wont be very high..

After that my lawyers firm talks to his insurance and an agreement is reached in principal, and me and my sweetie will either agree to out of coiurt settlement or go to court and sue.

That decision will be based upon what the offer is when all is said and done.

      Thanks ZKribber

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

          Thanks for stopping by sir!

i am alive and will make it, slow but sure, I wont give up!

I often think when I was a child and was abused, P!$$ed of beaten daily of how this would ever help me.

well, it does help in this situation by keeping me mentally aware to combat the "woe-is-me" syndrome.

Pain hurts but keeping the urge to be bitter or frustrated is just as tough!

          be well sir!

Just skimmed this thread, skipped the insurance posts, only have to say this:

Gramps, I have (I think) a pretty clear view of you through all of your posts around here. You went to a rough time way back then, got back on your feet, raised a family and even became a grand-dad(sp?) ( ).

Despite your medical problems now, you have lived a life most people would be jealous of.

I wish you good luck on the surgery, if there is anyone deserving it it is you.
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
            Once again...

              Thanks

I am eager to get this behind me to simply "move on" with Life.

What does one do when given opportunities?

I reckon it would be a matter of perspective, according to this picture, the lemons are happy being themselves...

And here i wanna make an oportunity a better than given situation!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing the kind words

You don't have to forgive him. That might be impossible. You just need to move forward.

As for your medical decision that's a hard one, and I don't know how you go about even making that decision. Good luck. I wish the best for you.

Actually the medical decision came down to exhauting many, many procedures, surgeries and therapy.

                  All failed

                  Time failed to rectify.

So after boiling out all of the above I was left with a simply choice, do I remove pain (hopefully) and also remove ROM (Range of Motion) or do I continue with pain with no known "next step" to take?

I coun ted me cards and decided to call, and will live with how the rest of the cards play in Gramps hand of Life I am dealt with.

                  Thanks for stopping by!

                    Good luck with your operation.

Don't wait too long before seeing a lawyer about a claim. I have no idea what the law may be in your state but in England the law allows three years to initiate legal proceedings claiming compensation after an accident.

Hey man, just wanted to drop by and say you're an example to us all. Not many can take the crap you've been given. Fewer still would get back up and keep on truckin afterwards.

Stuff like this would normally give most people a LESS balanced view of life, not more. You buck the trend indeedy.

Right now is not the time to be looking back, even on a life that's well lived. You've got decades of the future to get on with, and you don't deserve to do that in constant pain. Wrist range of movement isn't that important in your off-hand anyway - you'll still be well-set for writing checks or gouging eyesockets with your right hammer, right?

I say go with the surgery. Sure, it's not perfect, but that's what our medical industry can do for us - they'll put us back as well as they can and close to how they received us, and it's us who'll take the product and make the most of it.

Only, do you still get finger mobility in your left hand? I'm asking this for purely selfish reasons because I need somebody to play Rise of Nations against!

Best of luck, Gramps. Tough deal. As annoying as my physical issues can be at times (back issues, congenital), they pale in comparison.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

                            Gramps...
It sounds like you have been down all the other available paths. While there might be some better answer in the far future, you really shouldn't wait anymore. Enough with the pain. Pain sucks, and you have been living with it long enough. So do what is required to end the pain... even if it means a loss of ROM.

Good luck Gramps... as you can see from this thread, you have a lot of people online who only want the best for you.
