  • And you don't know what Chinese troops did. We certainly have precedent from this government however.

I would also "behave poorly" if I were a tibetan. A letter writing campaign and lobbying officials is not a fruitful course of action in China. Force is all this regime (and most communist regimes) understand.

No, there isn't a hope in hell the chinese government will actually allow reporters to witness what is going on in Tibet (beside their own party lackies whom you apparently rely upon). That would be too dangerous to them. Just look at what happens whenever tibetans get a chance to speak.

    • You mean, the Chinese aren't leaders among human rights activists? Oh, yeah! THOSE Chinese. No, they're not.

The point is that the initial news reports were anti-Chinese govt biased, making China look like the bad guy in this when in fact the rioters initiated everything and behaving very poorly. So there's no reason to expect China to allow Western reporters into the province.
Why do you hate freedom and support oppression?

Then why do you echo the govs POV all the time? Why do you even think it's right to not allow the media in (or only in a very limited way)? How are we supposed to find out what's really going on there then when there's no media coverage besides the official Chinese stuff?

I don't know what you are talking about. I don't "echo their POV" all the time. I only agree that the West vilifies them, even in cases where it seems they have no room to talk. Also, these rioters aren't worthy of this kind of heroification.

I'm not in favor of the Chinese govt at all. It's just plainly obvious what's going on in this thread and in the West as a whole.

They aren't commies, and also you have your tin foil hat on too tight.
