Well back to the other size which almost seems too small. *****Ignore this stuff about image size I'm editing the right one in most of them.

This is a Talisay tree which is the other tree kinda through the house. It comes up through the outside bathroom. We put one out there so when we have parties us drunks don't trek through on Dolores's clean floor.

From up above looking down into the outside bathroom through the Talisay tree. There will eventually be a cement roof there too with a hole for the tree and some sort of vision screen over the hole for bathroom privacy.

The coconut coming up through the plywood which is basicly part of the larger floor pour. All the wood will be removed after the pour, all that work...

Anyway the tree will have a circular opening that will give it some room to grow. That form is not yet in place on top of the plywood. Inside the opening we're going to place and then decoratively cover a tire which will absorb movement. If I hear of a typhoon coming I'll chop all the leaves off the coconut tree to dampen movement. Thankfully typhoons are rare here on Bohol.

That's Bonifacio. We would be scrod without him. Everyone on the project brings a worthwhile ability. Great crew.

This coconut is just off the balcony. There are maybe 6 or 7 shade trees on the small property. Down below you can see the small pool we're building mostly for the kids though one small section is deep enough for adults. The seawall made two sides and half the borttom already so I figured what the heck. Sometimes during a party the waves in the ocean are too big for the kids, then it will be really handy.

The other corner of the balcony. Down below to the left is the outdoor shower room. Great place to get the salt off and change clothes as evening approaches. Just behind that is the outdoor bathroom w/ the Talisay tree which you can only see a couple leaves. Ooppss nope that's the coconut on the next property. The blue tarp covers a work area for the cement mixer but that will be where the bocce is played. We're going to make a rectangular sand pit for it...maybe.

Outdoor bathroom complete with Talisay taken from ground level. There was a much larger trunk to this tree which was layed over due to erosion. So we cut that and left this. Since it has the root system of a much larger tree and since it is relieved of its burden of falling it has taken off growing like mad.

Here's a pic I wasn't going to post but I think I've figured out the size issue so...

Dolores is among those honored at the CWL, Catholic Womens League for donations and stuff. She recieved the 'Loyalty' award. She really is a wonderful woman, my dream come true! I'm so proud of her I could come to tears if I wasn't such a macho guy.

The waves test the wall. Nothing compared to June from what I hear. Wish we could be here for that. I feel like I've spent all winter building a sandcastle and can't watch the tide come in.

You know the interesting thing? We paid less than $2000 for this property and put into it...everything you see and all the labor food, everything, maybe $10,000.

                            $12,000.

                            Needs maybe another $4,000.

                            $16,000

That's not much. A person could build that and then live good on maybe $500 to $800 a month. Real good. Hard pressed to spend it all.
