Congrats to Kosovo on independence!
So, they chose the map & star one, but changed it a bit! Not my favorite, but good at least that the stars are all the same size instead of having a bigger one representing the Albanian majority.
The now used design is a variant of one proposal. It shows six white stars in an arc above a golden map of Kosovo on a blue field.[1]

The "map" of Kosovo looks like some huge oozing logy someone hacked up on the flag, or perhaps someone tripped and flag a can of yellow paint at it.
