1. As pointed by others: too difficult to draw
2. Too simple
3. Spiral isn't easier to draw: where does it start, where does it end? How many... coils (or whatever it is called). And BTW: isn't this spiral a southern hemisphere one? Shouldn't it turns the other way round?

The spiral is the cool -- memorable and unique.
Plain tricolor has been done to death.
The map/stars is just stupid. It actually institutionalizes the ethnic groups, and differerentiates them by assigning the biggest star to the biggest ethnic group based on population. Kosovo Albanians weren't eager to join any sort of "Greater Albania" last I heard. I don't expect it now either.
My prediction is that Kosovo will be a relatively peaceful political entity, but Kosovars are another matter.Comment
