I don't mind traveling (they ask upfront each year). It's just that, with my actual company, we only have offices in cool cities. I didn't think Mumbai would ever come up.

The business cneters seem to be very modern, with some cool architecture. My guess is you'll only see the slums from the air. That was my experience in Mexico City.

What's your company's policy on flight classes? For a flight that long, you should get business class. (My old company's policy was >8 hour flights, you get biz class. That's on the conservative side.) And business class on most airlines has individual video and power outlets.
Mumbai is one of the top 10 "financial flow centers" in the world (whatever that means). Hard to imagine they wouldn't have normal hotel amenities - certainly in the business hotels.
