So you admit you pulled the whole invasion thing straight out of your ass, right?

No one here has called for an invasion of Venezuela. AFAIK, no one here wants a CIA coup to take out Hugo. In fact, even the fervently anti-Chavez posters (say, Oerdin) assume he will fail and be taken out by his own people. Right or wrong, only time will tell.

Feel free to argue that Chavez is going great things. But don't just make **** up.

I recall, "ask Sadam about the benefits of having oil" or something like that.

Don't act like Exxon is a poor innocent victim, and that they don't want to see an invasion of Venezuela.

Yea, he just has this weird desire for Exxon to have another Billion dollars for some reason. I'll never figure that out.
Because unlike you his life doesn't revolve around hating people for their success.

I recall, "ask Sadam about the benefits of having oil" or something like that.
Its one page back, feel free to go figure out who actually said that.

I doubt this is how the arguement went with alter ego Arrian in you head either.

That depends. Are you refering to my ex-wife, or some other golddigger?

I hate Exxon because they are my enemy. It has nothing to do with their success. If they were failures I would still hate them.

You think you are important enough to have enemies?

I don't think there are any innocents here, actually. "Lie down with the dogs, and you'll come up with fleas." Exxon, even if it isn't the evil, evil organization that Agathon envisions, did make a decision to do business with the pre-Chavez government down in Caracas (upon which the majority of the blame for a deal that ****ed over the people - if the deal was such - should fall). The knew who they were dealing with, and they probably (should have!) evaluated the risk of political change like this.

However, in general, the idea that a country can invite foreign investment but not stick to the deal is a poor precedent. It will likely prove problematic for Venezuela at some point in the future (at least if Chavez or a Chavez-like successor is still running the country).

I haven't thought about it actually. What are the prerequisites?

If they are smart they will do everything possible to reduce dependance on corporations like Exxon. Then of course the only entity with problems will be Exxon.

To have the ability to harm anyone in any way and be trying to do so for one I'd imagine.

I don't have any enemies either, except through my employer of course.

So it has nothing to do with having an enemy. I thought enemies had to have counter enemies? I didn't know that there were power requirements.
