A friend of mine lived for several years freely in St Petersburg, FL with the drivers license of her sister, who was a long time citizen of St Pete. She did have some similarities, but even a complete imbecile could tell that the person on the photo is not the person holding the license. Nobody ever noticed the difference, though. Until she died of cancer.

Seriously, though, if we're talking about a card that has about the same number of protection measures as a modern currency note or higher, that doesn't include any RFID chips that can be read at a distance, that no one requires you to carry at all times, but only when you yourself need to confirm your identity, is it a scary thing that'll steal more of your precious privacy than a driver's license?

I'd rather be afraid of the bank note tracking systems.
Mr. Icious, our system indicates that you've withdrawn the 20$ note from the ATM in *** on *** at ***. It has been found on the body of Carlos Garcia, a heroin dealer. Care to remember where you used it?

I'm just mocking those who think that because we don't have chips in our brains or national ID cards that we are free.

You need to remember to always add proper smileys, people are too tried to figure out things, they need you to explicitly tell them.
