I don't believe that that is necessarily true, but even if it is maybe they should change out of practicality.

That's the explanation. It's the cursed park of politician death.

Hey, it's a better explanation than LOTM's insane neocon ramblings.

Here's a decent op-ed on the subject from the Guardian (and before people start, there's been plenty of Bhutto worship in that paper as well).

It's wrong for the West simply to mourn Benazir Bhutto as a martyred democrat, says acclaimed south Asia expert William Dalrymple. Her legacy is far murkier and more complex

But it's the best way to reach the masses. I suppose they can't muster an equal campaign budget as some presidential candidates in the US can, so maybe they manage with what they have? My guess is as good as yours

        • Maybe thy should have encased her in an iron maiden (without nails in the inside) before putting her out of the sunroof.

O.K., it would have been problematic for her to wave, encased in the iron maiden, but at least she would have had some protection against bullets

Well its my understanding the car was bulletproof. It is also my understanding she already spoke. So why stick youself outside of your bulletproof car in the middle of an uncontrollable mob. And if you are gonna do that couldn't she have a bulletproof dome or something. It just looks like trouble waiting to happen, unneccessarily.

I can't believe that it is a matter of budget constraint.

              • And now the great democratic party that is the PPP has installed Bhutto's 19 year old son as the new leader of the party.

See, I told you they were bent. It's the "get Bhuttos elected party".
