you could also have a person that seems safe, but can strangle at least 3 people before he is overtaken.

banning liquids is a stupidly over-zealous step.

And I bet that one could have a list of all materials that are dangerous when mixed in a list, and if a person has both of them on his body, then you start asking questions.

You could invent a fancy non-traceable mechanism to unite two potentially explosive liquids while in the cargo, as well.

Then we'll see a ban on all liquids.

Liquids bought in checked areas shouldn't be considered a potential danger.

I mostly agree with you about your conclusion (that security is a bit over-zealous) but your argument that liquids in the cargo are no safer is plain wrong.
