The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.

No I didn't. I voted at 4:53PM on the 23rd, and 10:49 AM today. Time zone mishap, buddy. I may be German, but I live in the USA.

Btw, thanks for the defense, LordShiva.

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

As for opinion, yes it is . Alexander was in a great position as Phillip already had the pieces set up, IMO. And as for Genghis, aside from China, the rest of his conquests were sparsely populated areas. I mean, I think Ogedei Khan was just as great as a conquerer.

As for Alexander, yes he had the groundwork prepared. But he didn't **** up. The mark of a great commander is just as much to hold on to what you got as expanding from that. Compare with the Hun empire after Atillas death, that went tits up in no time at all...
