If that post wasn't as big, I'd put it in my sig.

There would be a global shortage of Canadian Bacon.

Ouch! That's embarrassing. You shouldn't have even responded.

hmmm-- not our experience at all-- no undue waits through 2 pregnancies for Mrs Flubber--

We also had 2 emergency matters that were dealt with immediately-- Sure some people wait in emergency for 10 hours but thats because their stuff is not an emergency

Need a family doctor for routine stuff-- The wait at a walk-in clinic here is rarely more than an hour

So then, I suppose your personal experience is a good indicator that the SCoC was wasting its time in ruling that the health care system as it is currently constituted was a violation of the rights of Canadians, at least if they live in Quebec.

Do Canadian hockey players currently located in the states disappear too? The answer changes my assessment somewhat

NOt at all-- Thats QUITE a leap you made there

Just pointing out that excessive waiting is not a universal experience within the Canadian system. I know the weaknesses of anecdotal evidence and subjective experiences of a limited sample and did not think it necessary to add such a disclaimer

I have seen the stories and data on wait times. The stories and statistics are well known.

JUst curious NYE-- has your experiences with the "Canadian health care system" if any, been good or bad?

I ask partly because calling it a Canadian health care system is a bit of a misnomer given the heavy provincial involvement in the decisionmaking. Heck the structure of hospital boards can mean that there is a very different standard of care depending on where you live even within a province
