Texas is Awesome!
Some (well at least one) of our Texas posters has been feeling a little put upon as of late with negative threads about his state and fellow citizens. 
I think it's time we send Texas (and Texans) a little love to show them we recognise how special and truly awesome they are.

A few facts:
Texas is one of only four states that was an independent nation before becoming a constituent state of the U.S.
In 2006, Texas had a gross state product of $1.09 trillion,[43] the second highest in the U.S. after California,
The known petroleum deposits of Texas are about 8 billion barrels, which makes up approximately one-third of the known U. S. supply.
There are currently 33 billionaires residing in Texas today. Dallas has 11 billionaires, the most of any city in Texas.
Texas is the only state in the U.S. to have three cities with populations exceeding 1 million: Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas; which are also among the 10 largest cities of the United States. Austin and Fort Worth are in the top 20 largest U.S. cities.
