    lol.

Do I say that I know a thing about Belgian elections? I was born in the USSR and spent all 30 years of my life in Russia. If after reading my posts you think that author of that "insider's info" is brainwashed or something, then it's you who have problems, not me. That means you have a terribly corrupted vision of the situation here. Do I lecturing you about Belgian politics? No, because I know nothing about it. So, how the hell you can say that you know more about Russian politics, if you have never been to Russia, while I've spent all my life here?

        Exactly.

Nobody can check how person votes in the ballot box. Nobody. So, this whole idea with phone calls and reports is BS. That disguised boss of that disguised person had to realise that he will never find out truth about how his personel really voted and that it will be just a waste of time.

That story is completely illogical. But I'm not really shoked that many westerners seriously buys that crap.

So, Japan is a one party dictatorship, right?
When one party controls 90% of the seats, actively changes laws to suppress opposition, jails opposition candidates, jails journalists, nationalizes media, prevents opposition from campaign by seizing campaign material & preventing the media from carrying opposition advertisements, and the government selectively enforces laws depending on if you support the government or not then... Yes... It is a one party state. Japan doesn't do that though while Putin's Russia does.

Well, I didn't mean it as an insult but why do you think Nashi are idiots? I only know a little bit about the organization.

In Russia none party controls 90% of the seats.

actively changes laws to suppress opposition,
What laws are you talking about?
If you are talking about the election reform and increasing the barrier from 5% to 7%, banning election blocks and introduction of the proportional system, then all your belowed liberals, even allied have 3.8% of the votes and wouldn't overcame even a previous 5% barrier. And thanks to the proportional system now Communists have more seats in new parliament than they had in the last parliament, because in most of "one mandate districts" last time won the deputes from United Russia. If there was no election reform United Russia have more seats now.

                jails opposition candidates,
What opposition candidates are you talking about? What were they jailed for?

                jails journalists,
What journalists are you talking about? What were they jailed for?

Tell me, please, do you think that if a person belongs to the opposition he has some kind of immunity and can brake the law at will only because he is the opposition?
                That's nonsense.

Me thinks you think that any criminal who claims that he belongs to the opposition should be immidiently released. Is that how your court system works in US?

                nationalizes media,
NO MEDIA was nationalized in Russia, as well as any other enterprise.

prevents opposition from campaign by seizing campaign material
Again, wtf? The campaign material can be seized only by decision of the court. Don't brake the election law, don't spread lies about your opponents and nobody will confiscate your advertising material.

& preventing the media from carrying opposition advertisements
                Total bullsh!t.

Nobody prevented the media from carrying opposition advertisements. All 11 parties had equal free of charge mainstream time at five major national TV-chanels (aside from election of 1996 which your officials and media considered fair and democratic Hypocrite biatches).

, and the government selectively enforces laws depending on if you support the government or not then...
That's another fairytale. If you have proves that any other rich Russian is a criminal - bring them to the court.

Yes... It is a one party state.
Probably, but this state certainly is not Russia.

Me too. But from what I know they are bunch of young people who consider themselves as Putin fan club.

                  I don't support blind fanatism.

                        • Thanks!

And you have fun with your two party state (where both are just a two sides of the same coin).

                          • From what I see. Both sides seems to have a lot of misconceptions that are preventing them from understanding one another. For example, Russians think that Putin is a good guy, and Americans think that they aren't out to get Russia.

What's genuinely lollable is the way westerners are brainwashed into uncritically accepting some of the more unbelieveable propaganda.
For the govt to pressure employees to vote just to run up the turnout, with clearly partisan intentions, is alreay a tad questionable. Asking them to vote for a particular party, EVEN THOUGH THEY CAN LIE AND SAY THEY DID WHEN THEY DIDNT is even more questionable.

                              • "Two, the party of Vladimir Putin, which has pledged to continue the policies that have increased average salaries from $81 a month to $550 a month"

cause it was Putins policies that did that, not devaluation in '98, oil prices, or anything else.

                                Nice unbiased source.
