        • BTW I’m slightly curios as to why exactly Buddhism sees compassion as valid. I mean what do I care for you’re pain, suffering or even agony. Like the good chairman says it is merely information.
Compassion is the source of Buddhist power.

In the moment I first felt compassion, it changed my mind so much that I immediately started needing 4 less hours a sleep a night and I never felt drowsy anymore. Imagine being infused with more positive energy than you've ever felt before and that is Buddhist power.

Incidentally, I became Vegan because I felt compassion, I didn't become Vegan to feel compassion. It was sort of an "oops" moment, as in "Everything I thought I knew was wrong". However, I did feel compassion because I was thinking about why we shouldn't eat others.

When you love someone, you can do anything for them. It is an empowering feeling.

When you love everyone, everything, yourself included, then you can do anything [which is good]. It is the ultimate empowering feeling.

Feeling compassion is obviously entirely different to thinking compassion.

            Yeah, but you're wrong.

Except for tha last sentence I'm afraid you didn't answer my question. You're post was still interesting. I have to point out I don't accept beleifs because they are usefull, but because they either make a lot of sense or are logical and have some proof. My question is why feel compassion?

You're answer was: Because it is good for you.

Hey, I also only get about 4 of sleep a night (assuming you got 8 before). It's great fun! Oh god.
