I had said earlier that the deadline will be when the ball drops at Times Square (do they still do that?). This will be New Years in my time zone. My thinking was this will be the easiest for me to keep track of the deadline w/o reverting to time zone conversions.

The problem with this of course is that some drunken Brit pop star may crash their car at 12:10 London time and a European poster could submit a list with the newly deceased at 2:00 London time and still beat "my" deadline (as the "time of death" is to be by the time zone the celeb was in - Rule 18). Not likely I agree, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility - particularly with what I know of Poly posters and Brit pop stars.

So here it is - The midnight my time rule will stand. When it is midnight in NY City the game is on. If I recieve any lists from posters ahead of me in time zones that just miraculously happen to have an early hours "hit" on their last minute submission the time of submission will be compared to the reported time of death of the celeb. Any cheaters so detected will be dealt with by Ming (see Rule 24).

The best way to avoid such confusion of course is to submit your list sooner.
