I just don't buy that they are insane fanatics acting against their own interests. There may be a dynamic we just don't see.

perhaps they are hoping that the increasing amount of anti-kurd rhetoric we are seeing from turkish politicians and the turkish public in general, will help to radicalise the kurds inside turkey.
