Ahmadinejad is better than anything Bush and Cheney could have dreamed of. Kim is so weird (and apparently going along, at least for the moment) with whatever concessions we made to get him to go away) that he's hard to take seriously as the personification of the Axis of Evil^TM.

Luckily, the Congress would never go along with the Bush-Cheney hardon for Iran, but you always have whatever Bushie might try under some convenient interpretation of his authority.

They're two entirely separate issues, but if it suits your purpose to conflate them, then that's up to you.

We just don't hold hospitality in as high regard here.

I don't believe that for a moment, and I speak from personal experience of travelling in the U.S. and from knowledge of my friend's experiences.

False analogy and incorrect.

Rhetorical questions and sarcasm are not explicitly or always rude. Context is all.

In any case, an internet forum is not a formal academic setting, and different standards apply to someone in Bollinger's position.
