Well, I was that as well. Now I'm retired from the Military.

EDIT: Oh, and welcome back Asher!

But getting back to the subject at hand, I for one, whould really like to know what the profit margin is in the production of razor blades - I feel that it has to be HUGE!

I know a whole bunch of gay US army members, but most of them are translators.

There's lots of gay sex in the military, that's for sure.

Well, I was in Intelligence, which is the same branch as translators.

I must say, those cheap BIC's make my face bleed oh so much, not so with Gillette. Or Wilkinson's blades.

I loved Wilkinson's Silver Sword blades. I haven't seen them in years though.

Really? I never get any cuts at all. Shave in the shower, use plenty of soap, and "warm up" the razor under the showerhead for five seconds or so, never a problem.

And those BICs cost about $2 for a pack of ten. If it's a question of practicing a little, or getting your skin accustomed to a new kind of razor, it shouldn't ruin anyone to try them for a while.

And you get to point and laugh at those unimaginative Gillette commercials for free, once you've made the switch.

                            ..big wallet.

The ones you mentioned in the OP cost 15 times as much as mine.

No skin is that sensitive, outside of female elf circles, if you ask me..

                              Gillette's commercials do suck.

They aren't a bad deal though, so long as you don't use a new head every day or so. I get about 2-3 weeks use out of each razor head. $20 for a 12 pack. So about $40 a year for a close, smooth, irritation free shave every time. Don't even need shaving cream with them. And they're very easy to clean as you go along given the way the blades are mounted.

BICs suck. The quality of shave I get from a new BIC is worse than the quality of shave I get from a 2 week old Mach III. It takes a lot more work to shave with one too, because of how much of a ***** they are to clean out along the way.

(At least they aren't like Shick's though. Those suck the worst.)

If I had the money though, I'd go with laser hair removal. The whole shaving thing is one of those things that God just didn't think through very well I'm afraid.

I use the cheap BICs. Pack of 10 for a couple of bucks. I can even get repeated use out of them.
