  • Why do I think I've been swindled?

I needed new blades for my Gilette Sensor razor.

The store was selling a package of four for ~$12.00. It was also selling a package of four disposable Gilette Sensor razors for ~6.00. As far as I can tell from just looking, the blade cartridges are exactly the same.

So why does slapping a handle onto a disposable razor cut the price by 50%?

    (BTW: I bought the disposables.)

Not only were you swindled the first time by buying a razor that costs half as much as the blades, but you did it again?

No, the razors cost half as much as the blades.

No, the blades are twice as expensive as the razor.

                That is a proper association.

Switch away from Gillette and start using virtual no-name brands like BIC razors, if they're available to you. They're just as good, if not better. With Gillette, you're basically just footing the bill for their horrendous amount of advertising.

Or if you're a really cheap bastard, consider becoming a Muslim.

Actually, it's a good taste for a Muslim to shave his armpits and crotch.

You should become a Sikh. They are forbidden to cut their hair.

Well, I am a homosexual and have never shaved my arms, legs, or armpits...So it looks like you've fallen into the "stereotype trap" Wiglaf.

How can we be so sure you're a homosexual? From your avatar picture you look like a military man!
