    • Of course I haven't. I've still been modding a little, in the background, but didn't have a connection at home for a month or so. It's only been stable for the last week, and with workies I've not have too much free time.

      But yes, I'll be there.

And from Stansted, bus is cheaper but train is quicker and nicer. It's not that much more expensive, either.

Also, though housemates don't know this yet, people are welcome back to mine for afterparty

            • Okay - I'm looking forward to this. My first time in London for 18 years. When I get to London, I will have a few hours to myself before we hit the boozer.

Is it going to be "teh olde banke"? How far is that from central London? How do I get there (which Tube line/station). And can a couple of you guys PM me your mobile phone numbers, so that I can call you if I get totally confused

              • Okay - after a few googles, I would most certainly like for it to be The Old Bank of England. Place looks amazing

Fleet Street - okay I think I can find that

                    • You can also call me if you need directions. PM sent.

For tube options probably best to go to Covent Garden on the Piccadilly line. Turn right out of station and go through the market until you hit the Strand, then turn left up the Strand to Fleet street. It's a nice walk, about 5-10 mins.

The other options are Holborn (Piccadilly/central) and Chancery Lane (central).

If you want maps streetmap.co.uk is what most people use.

                      • Personally I would take Temple, Chancery Lane or Holborn. Covent Garden is the tourist route though:

IN actuality I will be walking from Moorgate though.

                          • Well I will be walking in from either Charing Cross or Cannon Street so I should see you there at 6ish, depending on work and public transport.

                            • I'll be walking up from work, and (in contrast to Dauphin's slur against hard working civil servants ) will be there 5.30-6 I'd say.

                              • I can be there anytime, as I will be in London from around 1 pm or so.

I will probably time my arrival to around 5.30 or so, as none of you seem to be there from 5 anyway
