Is that legal population or the illegal slave labor you seem so intent on protecting?

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Glad to see we're agreed that it's totally off-topic. Still, it's kind of interesting to talk about, I must admit.
It seems a lot of self-described "conservatives" don't mind spending, they just don't want to pay for it.

I think a good portion of the "$$$ from blue states to red states" effect is because of the Senate, which gives Wyoming and North Dakota as many senators as New York and California. Thus, rural states tend to get more pork per capital then urban states.

I remember seeing such a chart and it had North Dakota (or was it Alaska?) as #1. can't remember where I saw it, though.

Virginia is #1 as was stated. Your right, replace Texas with Louisiana as it has Avondale where all the new LPDs are being built.

Maine builds half of the destoyers, And Conneticut builds just under half of the submarines.

California is not involved in any new naval major combatant construction.

The Port of Houston is America's largest port in foreign tonnage, and the sixth-largest port in the world.
