    Rebellion Forum?
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Sports talk is UP and it coincides with the creation of the sports forum. That's a fact. Sports discussion of maybe your sports are down, but you won't even start a thread to talk about them... whose fault is that. You obviously don't care about all the people who like it and are using it.

We've now established that the separation was done solely for the benefit of a dozen or so fantasy gamers. Good. Now how about the rest of us.
It was also done for all the sports fans that would like to be able to find the sports threads instead of not being able to so because of all the "how did cavemen clip their toenails or whatever" You can't bookmark a thread if you can't find it in the first place. So the rest are being served.

You keep suspiciously avoiding the fact that there is no longer any working channel for the wider discussion of sport.
You seem to be suspiciously avoiding the fact that there is sports forum that can be used for those kind of threads... Why don't you start one and see if anybody cares about what you care about

The evidence is right there in front of you, what more do you need? The Sports Forum works for fantasy gamers and a handful of others, it does not work for the rest of the OT, since people don't go there. Or do you deny this? I don't see how you could, but if you truly don't care, then there's not much point in carrying on a debate.
The evidence is even clearer that there is more sports talk then ever... something you are ignoring.

Yes, there is fantasy sports threads... but also sports threads about the sports that people seem to want to talk about. Far more sports POSTERS and POSTS than there were before... pretty good evidence of its socess.

You didn't care to address my suggestions for fantasy gamers to locate their threads in any of a number of conventional ways that the rest of us use.
And you keep ignoring the fact that it is even easier for somebody that wants sports to JUST LOOK IN THE SPORTS FORUM

You don't care that this is clearly not a case of just conflicting interests existing between Americans and Europeans, as you've been the only one to claim more than once, or which sports are more popular, whatever the Hell that means.
There is nothing to stop Europeans from posting threads... there are some non american sports threads, which you seem to keep ignoring.

Popular sports are the ones the members of this site want to talk about. Feel free to start talking about them.

It's ultimately about preserving and maintaining an active OT forum. Separating out into subforums is railroading it out of existence. But do you care? You did way back when you accepted the position of moderator - when the alternative would have been the final and irreversible shutting down of all Off Topic debate on Apolyton. And for that i commend you. You were the voice and actor of reason then. But your replies here have shown that reason is no longer at the top of your priorities. I have to wonder if even the continued well-being of the OT is.
Your opinion... I care about the OTF and the SPORTS FORUM. You can claim all you want that I don't, but you are wrong.

Too bad. But enjoy your successful Sports Forum. I can almost guarantee you that there'll be noone to disturb your enjoyment or in any way try to shift its already remarkable level of success.

It continues to grow each day... now people who care about sports have a real place to discuss to them. Some of us want to talk about sports... while I guess others want to talk about toenails or other such spam.

The forums are what the members make of them. If you don't want to discuss sports in the sports forum, then don't. It seems kind of silly, but whatever... But there are a lot of people enjoying the sports forum... It seems all you want to do is take that away from them because nobody will discuss the sports you want to... even though you won't even make the effort to start a thread about them....
              Keep on Civin'

                That was Lancer's fault.

A shame we have a slower posting site as oppossed to what it was like some years back.

But, the topics are still an option good folks, if you would have wanted to chat History, then you still can

If sports or even technology is your passion, then by all means please post away.

Many topics here in OT, so I am just slightly confused, we have people bemoaning efforts made by this regime, oh yes and by the way, please note, NO STAFF BADGE ANYMORE!!

I didnt agree with everything the administration does, but as I was told one time, I dont have to.

                    Point well taken.

I do however come here to read what others seem to know a lot about or at least post a lot about.

I thoroughly enjoy watching the likes of Pekka or Wiggy trolling away.

I enjoy the wisdom of the ages with some of us who have been around lifes block a few times, I also enjoy the innocence of those who haven't and have not learned some of lifes lessons.

I will say this, if a point is to be made by the masses, to those who rule with a deaf ear to your cause of heartburn, bypass them and rise above what they want, it is their site, but we are the posters that make or break attendance.

Simply post away in OT what you want not related to the subjects folks have set a forum aside for.

I distinctly remember over the years, asking in OT some question and being beaten down by the subculture that shared not only was I a fricking Noob, but a dum@zz to boot, since I was in wrong area.

So, discuss away, just post in correct forum what areas need discussing.

heck I still remember when Pekka said he was going to do drugs and go naked across Mingapulco or some foreign to me country.

i prayed for him and really felt bad he was doing this, sad to me when I felt the sting of the fish hook tearing into my mouth, hook-line and sinker he caught me

But my heart was in it for him, no joke, just didnt see it coming
