Well, here too it was only a couple of hundred muslims that demonstrated peacefully - it was outside denmark there was "fun".
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

I've always wondered how profitable it must be to own a flag business in the ME.

While I deplore religious violence/threats thereof, I'd also like to deplore ninnies who use their freedom of speech for gutter blasphemies and then act shocked when some ignorant peasants get mad and react the way they always react. Not that American political cartoonists are much better...

EDIT: I also condemn morans who don't spelchek their thred titels.

Not condoning the reaction to the cartoon but it is understandable, you'd have seen similar rage if you'd depicted jesus as a dog or something as recently as the 70's. Monty python's the life of brian didn't even directly reference jesus but it still attracted a fair bit of controversy.

Not calling those societies primitive or anything but they've not been in the modern world as long as we have, if they're even there yet. Modern world is a bit vague, I probably just mean secularism, it takes a long time to really set in.

The artist doesn't really get any sympathy from me either, he's like a 5 year old who deliberately annoys a pet until it scratches him, he knew what buttons he was pressing and now he's crying.

When? I'm only speaking from the viewpoint of the uk as that's all I really know but i'm sure if you tried that in alabama today it would get a fair bit of angry press. Or wherever that fred phelps is, somewhere bible belty. Actually, didn't phelps die or was it a different religious nutter I was glad to see gone?

thesilentone, we've pretty much seen you guys as tools for a long time now with all the religious fighting in there. That is, you are the prime example of Christian idiocy.

And yes, it's just you. Don't pull the relativist crap. I'm sure you were a commie int he 70s too and a rapist. Of course, those were the times and how could people know any better?

Anyways, I'm still waiting when these racist people will apologize for burning flags, well that's not a biggie it's just a flag but overall threatning people with violence. They're racist against white people, Christians and westerners. It's quite obvious actually.

I'm sure an environmentalist, vegan hippie will soon tell me that it's actually the whole west that is being racist and so we can never say anything.

These people will be raped by elephants when the Xunix race will take over the globe.
