    But in that case:

Chances are, you will not hear about this on CNN, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, Fox News or any of the other supposedly unbiased news media sources. It wouldn’t fit their agenda. Despite them, you are about to hear about it anyway …
    Fixed.

I hear stories about Iraqi citizens getting killed every time a bomb goes off Ramo.

However, if the average news story is correct then an act such as this is very far from ordinary and thus should warrant reporting.

Don't get mad at the article author for pointing out the obvious.

How is that possible? You read stories on the several attacks that kill civilians every single day? If you read literally everything on the AP, that might be possible (or specifically search for it), but it is certainly not true by any stretch of the imagination that the media this sorry excuse for an article refers to covers each of these attacks.

And the idea that the media doesn't cover feel-good stories that are mostly meaningless in the big picture is ridiculous. Indeed, it's exactly the opposite criticism that should be made of the media.

BTW, Townhall is even more of a hackish media organization than Fox...

Did I say that? Do bombs even go off every singe day (no)?

Please. Every time a bomb goes off the it is portrayed as a general comentary on the status of the entire country of Iraq even though most take place in the same 30 odd square kilometers.

You and the media lost track of the big picture a long time ago.

Pretty much. Civilians are killed in sectarian violence just about every day (not necessarily due to bombs). There's an average of about 62 reported deaths due to political violence a day during the past year.

Everytime a bomb kills over a hundred people, maybe. The vast, vast majority of the time it goes unreported in the mainstream media.

I suggest you turn on the "Situation Room" (just to prove the point, I would not seriously suggest viewing that progam regularly to even my worst enemy) each day when you get home from work. It only takes them any random period of 5 minutes to explain how the last seal of the apocolypse has been cracked in Baghdad each day.

I'm sure I could count the number of "feel-good" stories CNN and its like have done in Iraq on one hand. Actually, I've never seen one, so I guess I don't have to count at all.

When there's an attack that kills hundreds of people. Events like that actually have significance. The idea that every last bit off political violence is covered is utterly ridiculous. Given the tiny amount of time tv media generally gives to Iraq, that'd be next to impossible.

That's a pointless distinction. Why is death squad violence unimportant? Neglecting it paints a misleading portrait of Iraq.

Incidentally, I was talking about attacks in a general sense, and you narrowed that down to bombs.

The point, ultimately, is that the Sinjara bombing, a rare event that the media covered, is infinitely more important than this story.
