I don't see how we can resume the discussion and be done with the personal crap. Anyone taking the side of the police in this case is an authoritarian type personality for sure, and will tend to support authoritarian style politics.

I don't think it's as much a matter of be not being as smart as other people as it is me maybe getting to the bottom of things when people can't handle it and they don't know themselves.

So you admit you cannot discuss an issue without getting personal. Someone with little or no ability to discuss an issue is like that. They resort to sterotypes about the participants to deflect attention from their intellectual nakedness.

I don't think you know the bottom of things any better than you know your ass from a hole in the ground. You do seem to have an overblown sense of the value of your own delusions though.

I take a weekend off and I'm like years behind this thread. I skimmed through a few posts and I have just this to say. Every country in the world has had problems with overzealous cops and overzealous protestors. Both sides of the fence have been guilty of crimes, but that's no reason to hold such bias against each group as I've seen on this thread. I do have a favorable bias towards cops, but I've tried to see things from Agathon's side of things. It's a shame that everyone else seems to have let their bias take over.
