Possibly because it makes little sense and has no empirical basis? I'd consider dropping this if you'd actually give me a cogent explaination of a) why an anti-war arguement is any weaker in the face of a volunteer army and b) how exactly a volunteer force destablizes the world rather than just expecting me to take these assertions at face value.

Ability is not questionable. But the desire? If children of politicians could be drafted, would the US be in Iraq? I doubt it.
Yea, cause Senators don't know how to get their kids deferred.
But you believe the sins of the father should pass to their children? I hardly see why an individual should be forcibly sent to war and possibly lose their life because a vote cast by one of their parents.
The draft is a horrible idea for a multitude of reasons.
