  • Texas to Commit Murder in 3 Weeks

Some guy got the death penalty in Texas because he drove a car in which a murderer made his escape. I dont know the guy's name and the details are a bit sketchy but the murderer went off and shot someone, went back to the car and they drove away. According to the testimony of the other people in the car, the driver didn't even know what the murderer was doing. But even if he did know the guy had just shot someone, what would you do if a murderer with a gun was telling you to drive?

That's a whole lot of nothing there when it comes to information, Berz.

That guy really got boned if he was tried, convicted, and sentenced to die based on no evidence whatsoever. Maybe you should CHECK YOUR FACTS, thanks.

So Wiglaf would have laughed at the armed murderer telling him to drive

He drove the getaway car, knowingly or not...

Strange, its all I have and it shows quite well the pitfalls of executing people for what someone else did.

You are so full of **** it stinks.

If a guy with a gun who just murdered someone told me to drive, I'm going to drive and once I get to 20 mph, dive out of the driver's side. I think that goes without saying, now provide link so we can all see how simplistic your reading of this case is.

Yup, goes without saying. Oh the irony...

If he was an accomplice, then it's a matter for your legislature to decide what penalty he should receive.
If not, the state is committing murder, obviously.
Clearly the court found that he was an accomplice despite the testimony of these witnesses.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

You provide no details, no context. There is no point to this thread because of that.

                            CALIFORNIA JURY FREES MURDERER

Some famous man who shot and murdered his wife was set free by a jury. Apparently, the prosecutor was holding a glove that did not fit the defendant, so he was let free.

Is this justice? To ask a meaningless hypothetical, what would you do if you were in a courtroom and the glove had, in fact, fit you?

                            Discuss.

Oh fer cryin out loud! You go to Google News. You search for: texas execution driver. You find two articles about him. You learn his name is Kenneth H. Foster, Jr. You search Google News for "Kenneth Foster," in quotes. Bingo: 27 hits, 25 of which are articles about the driver in question. It actually took me longer to type this that to find 'em.
