Well, Adalbertus already brought up the point of defining nation, and I think I an bringing up the point of defining conquest. Maybe the Chinese, Manchu, and Russians claimed soveringty over Mongol lands, but did they have control over Mongol life? Cause those tribes don't seem to have been too affected by these claims of land ownership.
And of course, what about what Slade Wilson said, which is correct, isnce its inception as an independent self-governing state, the United states has never seen foreign rule, though neither have Canda, Australia, or New Zealand. then of course, you get states like BRazil, or Indonesia, which have also never seen foreing control since their inception, but what does that mean, and do they even constitute "nations"?If you don't like reality, change it! me

The homelands of the Mongols were eventually divided between the Manchus and the Tsarist Russian Empire, with the Russians gradually encroaching more and more on old Mongol lands and Manchu holdings as the Manchu Dynasty dwindled in power in the 19th Century.

I think there could be a case for claiming that being defeated/colonised might have actually aided a number of nations by stripping out complacent and decadent aristocracies/plutocracies and creating space for more dynamic growth. India is a good example- an emerging superpower. The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland

Also, is this question applicable to nomads like Berbers or Bedouins? (and I guess, the Mongols)

United States was never conquered and mostly won its wars AFAIK
I think the question depends of internal conquest.
I mean, Constantinople was never conquered until IV crusade, right? Wrong, if you count civil wars.
Egypt remained in muslim hands until Napoleon. Sure, it was conquered a couple of times: liberated by Abbasids (not quite conquest), conquered by Fatimids (again, partly thanks to a deal and the administration remained largely unchanged), by Ayyubids (again, Saladin started officially as a visier of Fatimids, though supported from abroad, so it was not complete overthrow, mamluks were internal force, Turks left the country to mamluks to a large extent... and Napoleon's conquest was temporary etc."I realise I hold the key to freedom,
