Have a friend call her up on another phone when she's not awnsering phone calls from you to see if she's screening the calls. If she isn't screening you out then have said friend leave a message that you know she'd call back to see if she is really not checking her messages. Have your friend say he's from publishers clearing house or something.

Sounds like she's lying to me.

I would recommend going so overboard that she either starts dating you, or wants you to never talk to her again because you are scarying here.

I don't think I could possibly do that. What I'm doing right now - being persistent and making sure that a member of the opposite sex knows that I exist and am interested in her - is so contary to my normal behavior that I don't think I could do anything more.

No matter what, though, I consider my actions here to be a step up from my past actions, which included such things as whining about the female on livejournal, imagining ways in which I could save the female from her problems and make her fall in love with me, and finally, never so much as making eye contact with the female in real life.

We cuddled this weekend after she returned from two weeks in New Orleans helping rebuild houses and ****. This was completely new to us, as we'd always been terrified of physical contact in the past. If this continues and hinders things with Jane or some other potential female in the future, I may have to start torturing small animals.

In that she is still my friend, yes. I will not, however, let her interfere with any more of my romantic endeavors.

                    Keep that firmly in mind.

Unless, of course, she jumps you. At which point you've won.

If people keep telling you why do you keep doing it?

I know why, btw, most guys including me go through this.
