    Well, shucks, thanks Blowwhard!

You mean, when discussing an alleged occupation and looting of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre it helps if you quote international news agencies such as the B.B.C. and C.N.N. which show that it was really the Church of the Nativity...

The list just goes on and on and on for pages.

Could you then demonstrate in this list (which you obviously couldn't be bothered to consult before getting the site of the siege and alleged looting completely wrong) the way in which:

    The Palestinians...looted the place.
Because I'd say it's fairly clear you don't understand the meaning of 'looting'.

Hiding behind a technicality. We've established the correct church already. Get on with it.

Or the other technicality of you saying it occurred at a place it didn't ?

I'm just wondering what exactly is motivating molly to deny reality. This isn't the first time he's trying spin unprovoked muslim attacks into the fault of evil provocating WASPs.

edit: You go and check out the history forum, he tries to hijack every thread he posts in into a masochist circlejerk blaming anglo-saxons for every ill in the world while trying to explain how we should thank muslims and Islam for virtually all progress and inventions.

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

I would imagine that it depends on the church.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I'm actually worried about what would happen if they pushed over a certain line. Currently most people are quite tolerant and forgiving, (unlike the muslims)

If enough people said "enough is enough"
The terrorists may get what they want.

While occupying churches isn't particularly nice, how on earth is it a "terrible war crime"?

Mosque bombings/occupations/etc only rise significant ire when it's westerners (or Israelis) who do it, so I'm inclined to think it's mostly a convenient excuse to vent.

                                "terrible war crime"?
They are a protected category of building, so civilians should be able to use them as a place of refuge. They lose that protection once they are used by a belligerent. But it happens so often that it has become a matter of course to treat them as hostile locations much of the time.

Obviously insurgents purposely do this in the hopes they can get a first shot before we level the place, but the story about gunmen never gets out, only that a church gets destroyed.

Which is why most insurgents should be punished for war crimes, specifically blurring the civilian combatant line on purpose.
