  • Would something happen if islamic terrorist put a bomb...

in an important christian place (Saint Peters, Holy Sepulchre, Santiago de Compostela, Notre Dame etc) and they succed in blowing up the place utterly destroying it?

Sincerely I think nothing would happen, only words of condemnation by leaders around the world (including religious muslim leaders)

I dont complain actually, going to war for monuments seems like an exageration to me.

      Wishful thinking.

If an Islamic terrorist blew up the Kaba, how long before someone blamed America?

Nothing significant would happen in the West if they blew up a church.

But if some smartass would release a virus that would kill Cisco routers and so leave the continent without internet they'd have another crusade on their hands, consisting of youth pissed off because we can't access our favourite porn social networking sites and educational forums.

I recall that Palestinian Islamic terrorists ransacked and practically destroyed the church of the holy sepulchre a few years back. The blood suck bastards tried to pick a fight with the Israelis after invading the church and shooting at Jews from the church.

Muslims have been blowing up ancient Christian churches and monastries in Kosovo for years and no-one in the West gives a toss.

I think you mean the Church of the Nativity...

And Christian sectarian enmity does a much better job of wrecking the church:

If pilgrims worshipping in the Church of the Nativity look up at the roof, they will see a battlefield threatening the future of one of Christendom's most holy sites.

Squabbling over crucial roof repairs between the three Christian communities who share custodianship of Jesus's birthplace is endangering the 1,500-year-old basilica.

Large holes in the 500-year-old lead roof have let rainwater flood inside for years. It streams down the walls and threatens to wash away Crusader-era murals and destroy Byzantine mosaics.

A botched repair by the Greeks, in which the roof was given a waterproof lining, has created new problems as condensation now eats into the plaster and rots wooden beams.

Fr Michele Piccirillo, a Catholic priest and archaeological expert, said: "The Church of The Nativity should be a symbol of what we are as Christians, not a symbol of disunity and disagreement. The condition of the roof is unbelievably bad and it must be settled not just for the benefit of the church but for all Christianity.''

                  As to the supposed destruction:

this is not quite what really occurred:

The Israeli army says Palestinian gunmen provoked a fire which broke out near the Church of the Nativity on Monday.

Gunmen had opened fire from a belltower, wounding two Israeli border policemen in a nearby rooftop look-out, an army officer told Reuters news agency.

He said the Israelis returned fire and a smoke grenade started the blaze in a second-floor meeting hall overlooking the Basilica of St Catherine, adjacent to the Church of the Nativity.

One Palestinian gunman was shot dead in the battle, the Israeli source said.

But a priest inside the church, Father Amjad Sabbara, told the BBC that the Palestinian killed was a police officer who had been trying to douse the flames.

That's exactly what happened. The Palestinians used the church as a firing position and then when they were finally given safe passage out they looted the place. It was all over the news.

But it's not what you said happened, and not at the Church you said it supposedly happened in.

...then when they were finally given safe passage out they looted the place.
Really ? Others don't appear to think so:

RODGERS: When Palestinians left this church, it looked more lived in than damaged with plenty of debris and trash left about. And when the doors reopened, Bethlehem residents, Christians and Muslims, quickly came to inspect their shared landmark. Most precious, the grotto, said to be the birthplace of Jesus. It appeared to have suffered no damage.

(on camera): While this venerable church was not as badly damaged as originally feared, it will take some time to repair it. And it may be much, much longer before Christians feel comfortable enough to again return to Bethlehem on their pilgrimages.

Walter Rodgers, CNN, inside the Church of the Nativity.

You must have searched long and hard to find that piece since the first two pages of the google search turned up things like this:

And of course, these men have come out of the church just as three Armain (ph) priests also came out of the church yesterday. According to the IDF, the priests held up plaque (ph) out, a sign saying "save us." The Israeli forces responded to that, those Armain priests were then taken away. And one of those priests in interview later on, in fact, said that the Palestinian inside the church had looted parts of the building and it caused some substantial damage.

THE OCCUPATION OF THE CHURCH OF THE NATIVITY

                          (2) An article by retired military officer Ralph Peters in The New York Post about how a "terrible war crime" in violation of international law has been committed in the West Bank – the occupation of the Church of the Nativity by armed gunmen. Peters says that this move was "planned well in advance, as any veteran would recognize". He adds that the failure of the international community to condemn the taking of hostages in a church will have "far-reaching and heartbreaking consequences."

"We" as "Christians" should care not only because of the lack of "respect for the sanctity of the shrine" but because the Palestinian Authority "just set a precedent" and "got away with it." The result, he says, "will be future occupations of churches and synagogues" elsewhere.

                          Another one:

                          WAR CRIMES IN BETHLEHEM

Taking clergy hostage at gunpoint in a church is a war crime and a violation of international law. This is exactly what Palestinian terrorists have done at the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, one of Christianity's holiest sites. Over fifty gunmen took two hundred hostages and locked them up, half-starving, in the sprawling church complex.

The list just goes on and on and on for pages.
