There is a reason for the differences in media attention. Maher is on HBO and most people really don't pay attention to much he says. Coulter is nuts, but she goes on MSNBC, available to a good deal more people, and in certain quarters she is listened to a good deal.

It'd be the difference between Kucinich saying something and Edwards saying the same thing. I doubt the media would really care what Kucinich said.
