Thank you G-D! Immigration reform bill is pulled....
"The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.
I would have been more supportive of this if I had any faith whatsoever that the government would actually follow through on the enforcement provisions as was promised in 1986.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Why? What's your immiration plan, Patty?
Is it necessary to have an alternative in order to recognize a bad plan?

What was so bad about it?
The fact this was rejected for on. History of government action in this area and nothing done to ally those concerns.

Why are people who were ordered deported and illegally did not go (or returned) so much worse than the people entering and staying illegally in the first place? Nice title, though.
Why should felons be rewarded? Add into the fact I can't even bring myself to trust the government to enforce the new law if they won't even enforce the old one based on the experience from the 80's.

When they're felons because they broke immigration laws you'll find me not getting too excited about it. What they did isn't very different in my mind from what any other illegal immigrant did.
Your current immigration system is obviously broken. Yet the more it breaks, the bigger the backlash is against fixing it...
I'd be for enforcing current laws. No backlash needed.

How do you plan to enforce those laws? Are you going to deport 13 million people? How the **** are you going to accomplish that? Now add in their kids (who are legal citizens of the US). And how the **** are you going to prove that some guy who's been living in the US for 10 years is illegal? Are you going to deport every Hispanic in the US who can't provide a birth certificate?
Who said anything about deportations? Employers would be my target. Banckrupt a few from fines and the problem solves itself.
