This seems to be a bigger problem with the phone companies.

They advertise low cost high speed service but unless you're paying the premium price, you're not really getting that high a speed.

Odd thing is that my brother's computer downloads faster than mine...he's still getting full speed. How can that be? lol We're on the same connection. Is it possible to throttle speed to certain computers on the same connection? I'm a little lost here.

I've dl a buttload and never a word said by my ISP, currently Roadrunner, was Comcast.

I am almost 100% sure at this point that it is my ethernet card. There's no way Road Runner could be throttling me and not my brother who is on the same IP and connection.
