Seriously. In the US and Canada I'm very slightly taller than average. In Geneva I'm the tallest person around...

It certainly does appear that way. I have noticed that Montreal is significantly shorter than either US cities or Toronto.

Then again, people in Geneva and in Montreal are also significantly better looking than people in the US or in English Canada...

Several hundred years of creating a world class cuisine and Russian people were reduced to thinking McDonalds was grand.
My love for McDonald's has nothing to do with the crisis of Russian cuisine. Furthermore, I am speaking only for myself here. A considerable amount of Russians don't share this love with me.

As for Russian cuisine, perhaps it's biggest problem is that it's rather high in calories, which is not quite OK in view of modern trends.

The hairgel and gold chains make it sound like you're in Greece or Italy

The staring sounds very East Bloc though

Geneva is ranked as one of the best cities in the world to live in (possibly the best, I forgot). I hear it's extraordinary dull though.

Well we are a European country, but we also have a lot in common with the US...

Perhaps I'd prefer it to McDonald's too

True. But this makes it correct to claim that you are not what is usually meant by "Euroland" in the narrow sense of the word.

It really isn't that good isn't it.. McD that is. I mean, when it was oen of the first ones around, it was good because it was something different, fast food, yes...

But even in the fast food industry, I find many others to be much better. I like Subway for example. I mean to me the idea is to either take away, or eat in place, and if I eat in place, I'd rather have something that is not fast food. So fast food in place only if I'm in a hurry and no alternatives. I might take away though, but not McD most of the times. Subway I like We'd need more of those kinds of places in here, I wonder what Quiznos is like. I'd like to have a go at it.

This partly explains KH's observation. Montreal and Geneva are French speaking, aren't they? So they are French and thus short.

I don't quite like Subway. And to me McD ranks the highest among other like fast-food restaurants. I can't explain why. Perhaps the strong impression of 20 years ago has something to do with it.

But speaking about McD, it is also damn expensive in the UK, more like Euroland than the US.
