It's covered in "Mao: The Untold Story." However, I don't have a copy of the book with me, so I can't give the exact source that it references.

Ummm... do you have a more... academic source to point to? Maybe it's just a function of the academics that I've come into contact with around the northeast of America, but they all seem to have given the book almost no credit as a scholarly work.Who wants DVDs? Good prices! I swear!

What do you want, the National Enquirer?Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

This has a definite similarity to a certain sketch by a certain comedy duo...
1: Hu's in office.
2: I don't know, who?
1: That's what I'm telling you, Hu is in office.
2: Who?
1: That's right.
2: What's right?
1: Hu.
2: Who?
1: Hu's in office cause he killed Ju
2: Oh, so He's a nazi bastard?!
1: No Ju was in office before Hu.
2: You're not making any sense so I am going to push you out of a helicopter

I don't, as I said. You can check with the source that the book quotes. As of now, the book is debatable (what isn't) as because of the controversy surrounding Mao accurate information has been difficult to obtain. However, the biggest complaint among scholars about the book does not concern it's accuracy, but it's negative and harsh tone that prevents it from being considered a scholarly work.
Again, though, this is from what I understand from scholars in the field.Who wants DVDs? Good prices! I swear!
