It will be judged by the official figures of a neutral main stream media source instead of a partisan hackjob like Pig book, thanks.

That's kinda what I've been asking Oerdin. For you to actually name a source where we would go for the info. I was hoping for something mutually aceptable. I don't see what is so partisan about the Citizen's Against Government Waste myself though. But that's a question for another time.

        That's not a methodology.

I was defining it as a 1/3 reduction in the number of ear marks or alternatively in the dollar value of those ear marks.

The problem with pig book is it defines everything in a congressman's home district as pork so that any domestic spending is defined as pork. We've always been talking about ear marks; that is legislation inserted by a Congressman for a pet project in his home district which must legally be funded by act of Congress. That is the standard definition.

That's not a methodology. You haven't specified how to measure that number.

No, they don't. They are specific about what they define as pork and while thwey do define serving only a local or special interest is a condition they lay out for it. It isn't the only one and they have to meet at least 2 of thier conditions before qualifying.

I'm starting to think you don't really wanna follow through on this bet, Oerdin.

In other words... The method of how to measure who won or the methodology.

It's been defined and I've given you hours longer then is reasonable to take the bet. Are you taking it or not?

Is this where the term "pork barrel politics" comes from?

That sentence does not make grammatical sense.

Unless, of course, you speak English.

I'm trying the parse the level of sarcasm here and failing, so I'm going to ignore it. Are you claiming that Oerdin has posted an actual methodology for measuring how many earmarks have been passed under the Democrats?

I must admit I haven't been following the topic enough to know what that's all about.

Is it related to pork barrel politics though? Sign me up for proportional representation.
