You haven't provided any systematic way for determining that. How do you determine the number of earmarks (or the total value)?
e.g. "We'll define the number of earmarks as the number of earmarks as reported by group X."Comment

The site isn't the determiner. The number or ear marks is and all creditable sites will report the same number. If some hack site comes up with massively different numbers then it is obviously worthless. All the major newspapers and tv channels have reported on this in recent years so why would they suddenly stop?

Nonpartisan news sites. In other words all major mainstream media other then Fox News or partisan Media. It should be extremely easy to tell based upon the numerous news reports on this subject each year. Rush Limbaugh and other hack sources you love are disallowed.
