I think not, since that would include the Czech Republic, Belgium, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Silesia, Posnan, and even northern Italy.

I've never heard the 1812 overture at a 4th of July fireworks. First it doesn't celebrate an American victory. In fact we were at war with Britain, the ally of Russia, the nation whose victory is celebrated by this tune. Second, it's a mixture of French and Russian tunes and therefore utterly un-American.

I agree it doesnt make sense to play it, nonetheless ive heard it regularly, and they always do it at the Alex Va celebration.


They like to end it with some booms from some cannon, then switch to the fireworks display, usually accompanied by Sousa.
