What has Michael Moore to do with humanity ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Well, I know a couple of danish recipies that needs some fat on the pig, but they also involve some meat - I can't imagine MM can deliver that.

That pig was probably a forest spirit.

The kid was hunting (not sure if he legally had a licence and if an 11 year old should be allowed to run around with a gun) with a .50 cal pistol (a slug larger then most rifles; the army uses .50 cal as an antivehiclur weapon) and spent 3 hours chasing after the thing. I dare say he was in no danger other then the danger he stupidly put himself in by looking for a pig and then shooting it.

Yes, more gun control is needed if idiots want to give .50 pistols to 11 year olds to play with by themselves. Personally, I'd find a way to arrest the parents for leaving unlocked guns around small children. They deserve it.

Why shouldn't kids be allowed to protect themself - especially if they are up against killer pigs like this one ?

With the pig finally dead in a creek bed on the 2,500-acre Lost Creek Plantation, a commercial hunting preserve in Delta

Ahh, he was with two grown men with rifles. No wonder.

Blackcat, stop being a smuck. He wasn't walking down the street and ran into the hog; instead they went hunting for it in the back woods.

Look at the wounds at the pig's ass. It must have suffered a lot before it died. That kid could hardly hit a barn door from inside... He relied on overwhelming firepower rather than precision, as is the culture where he came from...

Apparently they didn't fire, however. He killed the pig with 8 shots from his 50 cal.

Oerdin, go get yourself lost in the boonies without a gun and see how long you last

if terrorists can disable electricity grids, you wont have to find the boonies to need a gun.

                          anyway,

I've spent up to 3 weeks in the High Sierras before without a gun and 8 weeks camping in White Pine County, Nevada without a gun and did just fine. Also I tend not to get lost since I know how to use a map and a compass. That's one thing the Army trains people very well with.

Both places have large numbers of bears and pigs but the funny thing is unless you are really unluckily then it is easy to avoid them as long as you are semi-intelligent about how you store your food.

Are you really killing the story of a small kid heavily armed that on his own kills such a monster ? Well, if so there are no argument that kids should have acces to weapons.
