Actually, I'm willing to bet that a high percentage of the young Israeli citizens who are illegally present on US soil (as well as a not insignificant percentage of those here legally) have NEVER served in the IDF.

In other words, in engineer-speak, they don't have the exact mechanism that led to the ultimate structural failure.

Not having an exact answer on the exact mechanism of failure doesn't get you anywhere near any looney-assed conspiracy. It just means a lot of **** went wrong for which the building was never structurally designed.

Those are not "theories" as far as NIST is concerned, nor are they the result of any inadequacy. Any large structural collapse is an extremely complex event, and something like this, with highly unusual causes, is even more complex. If you're going to be fairly comprehensive in your analysis, you want to show how some things (like hordes of evil Zionists illegal aliens loading the building down with thermite without anyone knowing about it) wouldn't explain the actual sequence of events. Especially when the final report isn't going to show some magic initiator, but a whole complex series of events that interacted and led up to the initial catastrophic failure.

By the way, the estimated date for the release of their report has been pushed back again, now it's supposed to be released this fall.

Given the complexity of the problem, the huge amount of data of all types and sources, the modeling involved (including multipe scenarios), and available staffing and budget levels, I'm not surprised it's taken this long, and I wouldn't be surprised if it takes longer.
