Each to their own, Drake. Of course, it's hard to tell when you're being sincere and when you're trolling, but a city with plenty of musicians is a good thing for those that like live music.
I never went to anywhere in Britain with the depth & scale of history and character as London, and nowhere I went in France impressed me like Paris. Perhaps your intimate and encyclopaedic knowledge of France and Britain leaves you with a different opinion.
I know little of NY and nothing of Tokyo, but is there a finer Art Deco city than NY anywhere?
I don't actually know that much about Britain. I've only been to London, Manchester and Yorkshire.
but is there a finer Art Deco city than NY anywhere?
Who cares?
What's good about Chicago, btw?
It's a city with all the attractions of a New York but populated by normal people instead of preening jackasses.
Not that New York doesn't have normal people. Native New Yorkers are great, but unfortunately posers have taken over much of the city (particularly Manhattan).

Aaaah, such lovely warm well-informed sentiments. Makes the cockles of my heart glow, really.
As far as a 'sense of arrogance' goes, your assumption that London would welcome another product of provincial inbreeding with dress sense from 'Rural Lesbians 'R' Us' , ranks fairly highly on the Entirely Unwarranted Arrogant Delusions Scale.
By the way Asher, could you familiarize yourself with the use of the definite article ?
We do tend to use that over here in speaking and writing English.
I seem to have struck a nerve.

It keeps Jrabbit, RAH, Ming, Sava and others in isolation from the rest of us.
That's a good thing.

For its size Toronto is very multicultural but by sheer weight of numbers there are simply more people from more places in LA. Even if foreign born people make up less of the total population there are still 2-3 times more of them then in Toronto not even counting the several million illegals. Any culture or language on Earth can be found there or just about.
Population of GTA for purposes of above:4,647,960. Total number of foreign born: 2,032,960
A few quick figures:
- largest source of foreign born people in Toronto is China (including Hong Kong) at just 12% of total foreign born
- 194,503 from all of Europe in LA, 431,380 just from the top four European countries in Toronto
- 38,517 from all of the Carribben in LA County (~9.5 million population), 92,200 just from Jamaica in Toronto
Also, consider that you have a considerably greater number of Philippinos, Koreans and Vietnamese than Toronto, and I'm just not seeing that "more people from more places" thing.

For NYC and London I would get free access to a corporate apartment for the duration of the project, which is nice.
The NYC corporate apartments are in Manhattan, dunno about London.
That's worth an awful, awful lot. Most relatively-new investment bankers, on $100k+ salaries can't afford their own apartment and share. Especially if (as most corporate apartments are) it's in a nice area.

These fvckers are insane in NYC. 100 hour weeks are de rigeur. Having to cancel vacations is routine. Can't believe you were talked into working for them.
Same in London, at least in M&A. I remember one guys comment of "the worst time was when I spent three days running at my desk" :S Admittedly I've been close to that in my studies at times, but I'm not going to do that as a job.
Asher: I'd check with the London office about hours. It's generally commonplace here for consultants to be paid a set fee and work the hours of their client, ie. they're not just paying for 40 hours a week, they're paying for a person's time for a week. However that's more management consultancy, so technical jobs may be different. And even if they are, in tech, even bankers are on 50-60 hour weeks normally.
