            In other news, I don't think the founding fathers meant to make the Judicial branch so powerful and influential on American policy. They're supposed to enforce the law and make rulings based on the law, not re-interpret the law in order to fit their political views.
            When someone complains about "activist judges re-interpreting the law to fit their political views" it is usually the complainer that is doing the biased interpretations.

            The US is a common law country, deal with it. If you don't want judges interpreting the law, move to France.

              "Activist Judge" is nothing more then a talking point of social conservatives pissed off when a the law says they can't trample on people's rights.
