The only thing I have ever said about head scarves is that the French were wrong to ban them b/c people have the right of freedom of religion (to an extent).

I don't think I've ever referred to any of my teachers as Brahma, Vishnu, Para Brahma or indeed even Maheshwara. I doubt that it proves the demise of the Western Civilization

Anyway, isn't too much reverence for teachers kind of counterproductive? Why should I respect someone just because some time in the past he somehow got the title "professor"? In order for me to tell him that he is Brahma, Vishnu and all that I need to really believe that the guy is good.
