And when I say adapt to, it means accept the fact that such mores exist, and that they are practised. It does not mean that they become like that themselves.

I'm willing to bet this is racism. Elizabeth Hurley marries and Indian guy and has loads of kisses published every where and not a peep out of the knuckle-head Indian nationalists.
